Showers and Skating..and Braces (of course)

I can’t believe my best friend from university is having a baby.  I mean, we’re old enough and everything, but it’s still weird!

I haven’t really seen her over the past six years or so because I moved overseas after university for a couple of years…and then, you know how it goes.  Life happens.  You keep in touch via status updates and photo creeping.  Next thing you know one of you is pregnant and you’re at a baby shower!

Anyway, it was great seeing Shaunacy again. She’s glowing and I know she’ll be a great mom.  I got her some cute girls’ clothes (she knows she’s having a daughter) and some items from her registry. 

It was so great to see all of her family and friends, and pose for pics together and not one person knew I was wearing braces (until I told them…you know me, I’m sooooo shy about my braces ). 

After, I drove the three hours back home (that’s right, I drove six hours today), to pick up my sister, Jensen!  3M had a brand celebration night at the local arena.  I’m not much of a skater, but my sister takes lessons.  We had a lot of fun!  Also, I’m happy to say that Incognito Braces made it into the graphic!!  Yay!
