So as you may/may not have noticed, food is of the utmost importance to me. And when I thought I’d be giving up a lot of my favourite foods to straighten my teeth with Incognito Braces, I was a bit concerned.
Now that I’m two and a half months into treatment, it’s actually getting a lot better!  I am trying more foods, and really getting adventurous. Turns out my fear that every bite would break a bracket has subsided.
To prove it, I was at a concert last night with Siobhan, a hygienist from a Toronto office who is wearing Incognito Braces, too!  She insisted I should try a wing as they were amazing, but I honestly didn’t think I should…so she said she’d eat one with me!
The results were amazing. HA HAÂ
I am totally excited that I can eat chicken wings! I ate them a bit more carefully than I would have without braces, but still, I could bite into them easily!
Siobhan asked me if I had any brackets come off yet (which I haven’t), and she said that she had two debonds.  When I asked her what she did to debond the brackets, she said that the first time, she bit into a really big spoonful of dry flakey cereal, and broke a bracket off when she bit down.Â
The second time, I think she said she put two chocolate eggs in her mouth (I’ll ask her to confirm).  She had had success with the one chocolate egg, but the second was too much. Actually, my brother broke off a bracket with chocolate eggs (he has Incognito Braces, too), so maybe she ate something else…it was similar, though!
BTW, the concert was incredible! We saw it from the 3M suite with the area’s top Incognito Braces providers.  What an experience!!!
